The Brief
7UP challenged us to bring its brand platform, Refreshment That Hits Different, to life through a culturally relevant summer campaign that would get people talking, drive social conversation and make 7UP the drink of choice for summer social occasions.
The Strategy
With Gen Z increasingly opting for low and no-alcohol drinks, we spotted an opportunity to give a British pub classic a much-needed refresh. Enter the 7UP Pink Shandy: a fresh twist on the traditional shandy, combining 7UP Pink Lemonade with lager and a splash of strawberry syrup. A familiar favourite reimagined for a new generation, bringing Refreshment That Hits Different to summer social occasions.
The Execution
We teamed up with comedian Mo Gilligan to put a fresh spin on his iconic "coupla cans" catchphrase, creating hero content launched in partnership with LADbible. Taking the campaign from screens to the streets, we transformed Clapham's Perky Nel pub into The Pink Nel for a month-long takeover, giving Londoners the chance to get their hands on a 7UP Pink Shandy. We amplified the activation through London listings partnerships, targeted media outreach, influencer gifting and launch news, turning a summer serve into a multichannel campaign that got people talking about refreshment that hits different.
